Toddler Cookie Decorating

No baking required for this one — grab plain sugar cookies from the store and let your toddler take over from there.

Steps

1. Lay out cookies on a silicone mat or tray (makes cleanup much easier).
2. Squeeze a small dot of icing on each cookie to help sprinkles stick.
3. Hand your toddler the icing tubes and sprinkles and let them go — no guidance needed, this is 100% about the process, not a pretty result.
4. Let cookies sit for a few minutes so icing sets before serving.

Notes

This works just as well as a rainy-day activity as it does for a birthday or holiday. Swap sprinkles for seasonal shapes to match any occasion.
