Pom-Pom Sorting by Color

Colorful pom-poms sorted into matching cups — an easy color and matching lesson.

Steps

1. Set out several cups or bowls, each labeled with a different color.
2. Dump a mixed pile of colorful pom-poms in the middle.
3. Show your toddler how to sort each pom-pom into the cup matching its color.
4. Add tongs or a scoop once they’ve got the hang of sorting by hand.

Start with just two or three colors and add more as they get the concept.
