Homemade Slime

⏱ Prep time: 10 min 🎨 Mess level: Full chaos

Glue, water, and activator stretched into stringy, satisfying slime.

Steps

  1. Mix 1 cup of white glue with 1/2 cup of water in a bowl, adding food coloring if you like.
  2. In a separate cup, mix a slime activator, like liquid starch or contact solution with baking soda, according to the label.
  3. Slowly stir the activator into the glue mixture a little at a time until it starts to pull together.
  4. Knead by hand until it’s stretchy and no longer sticky, adding more activator a drop at a time if needed.

Notes

This is not edible — supervise closely with younger preschoolers and wash hands well after playing.
