Homemade Instant Snow

⏱ Prep time: 5 min 🎨 Mess level: Medium mess

A puffy, cool ‘snow’ made from baking soda and shaving cream — fun even in July.

Steps

  1. Mix 3 cups of baking soda with about 1 cup of shaving cream in a large bowl.
  2. Fluff with your hands until it feels light and snow-like.
  3. Spread it in a bin and let your toddler scoop, pack, and build with it.
  4. Add small toy animals or trucks for pretend snow-day play.

Notes

It won’t melt like real snow, so it’s a mess-friendly way to play “snow” any time of year.
