Blanket Fort Building

Couch cushions and blankets turned into a cozy hideout — a rainy-day classic.

Steps

1. Clear a space in the living room and gather couch cushions, chairs, and blankets.
2. Let your preschooler direct where each “wall” and “roof” should go.
3. Drape blankets over chairs or furniture to create a covered space, weighing down edges with books or cushions.
4. Add pillows, a flashlight, and a few books or stuffed animals inside for a cozy reading nook.
