Preschool

Baking Soda + Vinegar Volcano

⏱ Prep time: 10 min 🎨 Mess level: Full chaos

A classic fizzy eruption — the science experiment every kid remembers.

Steps

  1. Build or use a small container as the “volcano,” set on a tray to catch overflow.
  2. Add a few spoonfuls of baking soda inside.
  3. Mix vinegar with a few drops of red food coloring, then let your preschooler pour it in.
  4. Watch the “lava” fizz and erupt — refill and repeat as many times as they want.

Notes

This is easily repeatable — just rinse, reload with baking soda, and go again.
